KISS-OUT
Kiss-Out is a multicity sponsored kissathon, to raise funds for Lambda Legal and help in
the fight to overturn California's Proposition 8. The defeat of this measure will provide
a stepping-stone towards repealing other discriminatory ballot initiatives
passed in the November 2008 US elections, and another advance towards marriage equality
for all.
LAMBDA LEGAL
Lambda Legal is a nonprofit US organization pursuing high-impact litigation, public education
and advocacy on behalf of equality and civil rights for lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender
people and people with HIV. They offer information and resources for those seeking to obtain or advance their
rights, and provide legal assistance in cases that protect and advance the rights of LGBT people and those with HIV.
Lambda Legal, along with NCLR and the ACLU, has filed a lawsuit directly in the California Supreme Court on behalf of
Equality California and six same-sex couples challenging Proposition 8.
